Sunday In Rwanda
On certain Sundays in Rwanda all the people get together and clean across the entire country. It’s something that was started to keep Rwanda clean. During that time no one is allowed to drive until after 10am. While the initiative is a real thing…I was told that it was today but when I googled it, it said yesterday (Saturday) was Umuganda. I think that initiative is really important and shows how much the government cares about its people and also its land.
So after 10am we left Lake Kivu to head back to the hotel. It was a 3 hour drive so I popped a melatonin and was out until we stop at a market to eat. After that I went right back to sleep lol.
What I ate 🍜:
For breakfast I had pineapples and crepes.
For lunch, we stopped by a market and got a fried potato and a chicken brochette for only 2000 francs.
For dinner, I had my favorite lol…samosas.
What I miss🧡:
I miss you asking me to come sit and talk with you on the balcony. it’s such a sweet gesture and it confirms that you do enjoy my company.🫂🫶🏾
Random:
This Sunday was really chill. I ended it by meeting with Hannah and preparing for the next day.
I love you soooo much 🧡
